10 7/8 inches wide and 1 1/2 inches tall. The base is clearly marked with an impressed fiesta stamp and there are the usual three sagger pin spots.

Interestingly, there are two styles of side inserts. The first, and oldest, is shown in the left-hand photo of the cobalt inserts. Notice that these two inserts have impressed fiesta marks. The ones of this style should all be marked in this way since the mark was part of the mold. Those of the second, later style have rounded ridges on their bases along the outer and inner edges, shown in the right-hand photo. Some of these are ink stamped and some are not. Their vertical walls are also slightly thinner than the walls of the first type.

A Double-marked Side Insert

A double-marked side insert. I had never seen one of these before I found this one. They are quite rare but their presence is not surprising. Just wanted to include the photo so that you could see one.
