Vintage Fiesta Mixing Bowls, Various Sizes and Colors

Seven mixing bowls were produced in the original Fiesta colors. They ranged in size from almost eleven inches in diameter (#7) to a little less than 5 inches (#1), and they make a glorious display, either in a mixed-color or single-color set. Bowls produced prior to 1939 have a series of rings in the inside bottom but later bowls do not; I have a photos of #2 yellow and green bowls at the bottom of this page showing these rings. It seems that the #1 and #7 sizes are the hardest to find in good condition mainly, I think, because the #1 probably saw lots of use and the #7 is so large and heavy. All of the bowls here nest nicely into one another. None of my bowls here are "out-of-round" or warped.

Red #1 - $60.00

When I saw this bowl in person, I thought that it was really and truly mint but then I looked at it a little more closely. Look at the pictures. Doesn't it look gorgeous?? And it rings when I tap it with my fingernail as though it is whole. However, the rim has been repaired (I can't tell the extent of these repairs). In one tiny place (see picture, far right), I have been able to pick away a speck of the red paint which, by the way, just about exactly matches the original color. Any white spots except those indicated by arrows are reflections. So, if you need a good looking bowl to fill in your mixing bowl nest, this one could be perfect!

Green #4 - $67.00

I purchased a set of four green bowl, #'s 4, 5, 6 and 7 as a set and, Oh My, what a set. None of the bowls look like they have been used at all; the glaze is amazingly uniform and there are no chips or cracks anywhere. This is the smallest one from this set - others are below - and, if you could see it in person, you would love it!

Yellow #5 - $88.00

This one looks mint. There are 3 grey dots deep inside the bowl. The arrow in the left-hand photo points to the largest one; the other two dots were too small to show up! 5 11/16" tall and 8 1/2" in diameter.

Green #5 - $95.00

Note the single glaze skip on the base (right-hand photo). Everything else is perfect!

Yellow #6 - $50.00

Four tiny glaze flakes on the top outside rim (shown in right-hand photo). Some roughness along the inside rim, probably where a metal spoon was tapped on the edge of the bowl. Light scratches inside the bowl and at least two pecks in the glaze, pointed out by arrows in the photo second from the left. Finally, on the base of the bowl, the little grey marks around the bottom rim seem to be inclusions under the glaze. Not a perfect bowl but it really does look pretty good.

Green #6 - Sold

Of the four green bowls listed here, the #6 has the most things to talk about. In the left photo, the arrow points to a tiny brown speck; I can't feel any roughness or disturbance in the glaze here and so I think that the speck was original to manufacture. In the middle photo, the two white spots are glaze bubble bursts. In the right photo, there are two glaze skips on the foot. These are all the imperfections that I can find but there are, again, no chips, cracks, scratches or signs of use on this bowl.

and FINALLY, Green #7 - $380.00

This is an exceptional bowl in a rare size! I can find NO chips, cracks, crazing or scratches. The green color is fairly uniform as you can see from the photos. Please note the three glaze skips on the base; any other white spots that you see are from reflected light.

All bowls shown below this line are sold.
