Vintage Fiesta Maramalades and Mustards

The marmalade was originally modeled in 1936 as the mustard jar, but HLC decided that it was probably too big to hold mustard. The great design was not discarded though. That same year, they renamed it as a honey jar and then finally as the marmalade before bringing it to production. Marmalades and Mustards were first produced in 1936 and both were dropped from the line after 10 years in 1946.

When HLC brought the marmalade back for Fiesta Amberstone in 1968, the body was the same as the earlier design but the finial had been changed. Please note the difference between the two styles. . . and doesn't Amberstone look super on medium green??
